I posted this awhile ago on someone else's thread, but I think that might have been hijacking (sorry if it was!) and so I thought it would be better to post my own topic. Thanks!
I have a feeling my cheap ceramic-plated flat iron is about to die on me. I was at Sallys the other day, and they have some that are not too expensive, but at least are real ceramic. Does anyone have any suggestions for one? I don't think I'm ready to spend the money for a chi or anything, but I do want a step up from what I have now.
My hair is fine and wavy/almost curly and frizzy. It gets straight just from blowdrying upside down, so I don't need hardcore straightening, just smoothing. I have a 1" now and like it, and it has a temp. control, which I also like. An automatic shutoff would be cool, though. Thanks for your help! |

I have a HAI Convertible. It's a 1.25 inches and has a variable heat seating. I've had mine for over 5 years and it's still working great. You can get one on ebay for about $70 shipped. |

I'm interested in this too. I have the Maxius, but wonder about the T3 & the Chi brands. A gal at the office with lovely hair recommended these. |

EEK! I don't really recommend ceramic. Tourmalines and aluminum p-coats are way better, and not as damaging for your hair. I recommend T3. They are amazing!! My sister loves the T3 line. For me, I use a PANA Straight Flat Iron. It costed me $250. I think you will love T3.
