You should get a creme shadow and layer it with a powder eyeshadow for a long lasting effect. Black eye usully can wear averything. Specially colors.Go to Bobby Brown or Laura Mercier...the gilrs are well informed and will be able to help you and even show you how to do it. |

My eyes aren't quite black, but they are very dark brown so in dim lighting they appear nearly black. Anyway, I really like the darker shades of the Dr. Hauschka eye shadow line. It's milled very finely, so it lasts a long time. |

my eyes are black and I have light tan skin. I usually use violet, plum, er any shade of purple to bring out my eyes. What I combine it with is also shades of brown. I found those made my eyes stand out and I found that out by going to get a free makeover at MAC. I also like Sephora too |

I have black eyes and olive skin too. Colors that make black eyes pop are true browns, purples and greens. Try MAC Tempting, Sumptuous Olive and Shadowy Lady (great for a smokey look).
Greys and browns with red/brick undertones tend to wash me out and make me look sick. Pastel blue is a big no-no as well...very unflattering. HTH! |

I have dark brown eyes.. And I find that brown shades really bring out my eyes a lot.. I usually wear light gold brown. Black eyeliner and mascara is good too. |

I have dark brown eyes + olive skin too... What works for me is some golden shimmery highlight on the brow bones and inner corners of my eyes, and then different shades of green eye shadow (with some shimmers too) + smokey eye effect
The earthy tones will probably give you a very natural looks, if you want more drama, try anything with reddish purple, aqua green/blue, etc. I find that blues in general don't work very well for me... somehow the color just doesn't really show, but if you try out EVERYTHING (like I did with most MAC eye shadows) you'll definitely find something that works!
Ohh and try to apply your eye make up with a moistened brush, the color just shows more with that technique! |

I have dark brown eyes, but my olive tone is very light now in winter, but I agree with posters above on the colors,( green, brown, blues,a nd purples) except for reddish purple, a blueish purple is better,a reddish color makes me look sickly like someone else mentioned does to them too. |
