Any recommendations? I've been using an illuminator lotion to mix with my foundation from a local store and am looking for something new. Only use it when I'm going out, not on a daily basis - love the way it takes some of the pastiness out of my foundation and gives me a glow.

Hmm... not sure about an illuminator lotion... most times i use a illuminating loose powder on top of my makeup base... If you want to give loose powder a try, perhaps Bourjois or Chanel?

I really like Prescriptives Illuminating Potion. You can mix it with your foundation or use it alone or over top of foundation. I have the Guerlain Meteorites powder as well, but I think I prefer the liquid over a powder.

I bought a tube of MAC Strobe Cream years ago and I had to toss it out. It's too glowy and made me look like a clown. Sad

I guess it depends on your skin tone and how much you use, I use a small amount, just the tiniest bit that comes up when you squeeze and only put it on areas of my face that need illumination (ie- don't put it on your nose).

It has a pit of a pearlish tinge to it, but isn't overwhelming if you don't use to much and put it on the right areas of your face that would naturally catch light (cheek bones, sides of temples).
