Can anyone recommend a good quality SPF30 s/s for sensitive skin that doesn't have the usual s/s smell? I gag on that smell. If it's a physical s/s, even better. |

Hi Marci. I did a review for Bioderma Max Fluide spf50/ppd35. It doesn't have any discernible smell to me. |

Thanks, it looks good. May I ask if you are in the US, is there a site in the US that sells it for a good price? |

Skincarecentral.biz carries Bioderma sunscreens so I would try there. Even if they don't carry this one, they might be able to order it for you. They also sell sample sizes of most of their products so you can try it before investing in a full-size.

Marci, I've been using Juice Beauty 30 spf tinted moisturizer for the last month or so with fairly good results. It's not as matte as I like, but it's physical [titanium dioxide] and full of lots of organic ingredients. Best of all, it doesn't cause breakouts or clogged pores. Check out the list of ingredients here on EDS, you'll be pleasantly surprised! |

Has anyone heard anything about the Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 30( I think its new)? I too hate the smell of SPF and its always too oily for my skin but obviously its super important so I was wondering if anyone knew if this was a good alternative or had tried it? |

You totally read my mind! I got an email from Sephora this week and this was one of the products that was featured. Never have worn MMU ( **runs and hides** ), I wouldn't know if this offers any benefits that regular mmu doesn't. Anyways, anyone got any thoughts? I also found that the Juice Beauty SPF 30 that athena123 previously mentioned sounds pretty good. Again, I wouldn't know from personal experience though . Anyways, here's a link to the mineral SPF30 that gigiab6 mentioned and I was talking about:

Check out the raves for Sophina Nuance here on the EDS boards. I am converted to using it for smell & coverage. |

Thanks, these are some great recs.
athena -- is the tint on the Juice Beauty SPF30 very noticeable? I am on the pale/yellow-toned side and I am concerned the tint would make me look orange or totally be off from my normal skintone. |

Hi Marci. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you re Bioderma. I ordered mine from frenchcosmeticsforless.com. It took 2 wks to get it (and the Avene pdts I ordered) but I truly do think it's HG for this fair and freckled gal. The true test will be this summer at the pool. |

Citrix SPF 30+ is by far the best I've used. It's a zinc oxide and titanium dioxide sunscreen and it has no fragrance. I went under the Visia light with this one on and the sales rep claimed that the fact nothing under the skin surface was showing up meant that I was wearing a very gopod sunscreen. Yeah!! |

LizaA, do you have a link to where you prefer to buy the Citrix SPF30 s/s you mentioned? I figure regular users know where to get the best deals, so I hope you can help me with this. |

Sure, I used to get mine fromwww.skinwest.com which I think used to be the cheapest but now I just buy it fromwww.skinstore.com as I like to make other purchases and after 10% discount it's pretty much the same.
I thinkwww.skin-etc.com also carries the line but I can't be 100% certain. Hope this helps. |

I'm using Sunkiller SPF 50 and I haven't noticed smell. It works well and is really cheap. |

My fave is Juice Beauty SPF 30 (physical--titanium dioxide).
I had been using La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 55 for years, but it's too "greasy" or "filmy" for my liking.
I prefer JB. |

For Juice Beauty SPF30 fans -- are you using the tinted or the sheer formula? |

Steffers,
Are you using the sheer or the tinted formula? Do you use it on top of your normal moisturizer? I think it's supposed to be a moisturizer with sunscreen. |
