I think thats what its called.....

Has anyone tried this??? I was on my way back from Spain last week and the woman sitting next to me on the plane ordered a tube. She was raving about it to her Husband. She opened it and geez did it stink, at first I thought it had gone off...then her Husband commented on the smell as well (basically told her if she was putting that on her face at night she could sleep in the spare room)!!

Has anyone tried this, and does it smell?????

yes it does smell...

it's like a sticky-liquid version of vaseline. I used it as a lipbalm, it's ok, nothing miraculous. It felt nice as a lipgloss though, because it melts quite nicely upon contact with body heat. (if u can stand the scent lingering around the nose for the whole time)

The effect is very similar to a lot of balms out there, because it's so thick it seals in moisture well, so some people also use the 8hr cream on dry patches.

Yep, it smells. It's not terrible but I wouldn't call it pleasing either Laughing

I must say I too am guilty of buying this product a few years back. I don't like it but my mum seems to have found a good use for it. She has some sort of contact allergy where the skin on her fingers blister up a bit and get really dry. She finds that the 8 hour cream is quite effective at relieving that (at least while she is using it continuously). She's not a big fan of the texture, it's quite vaseliney as Sparkle said.

8-hour cream is a life-saver for anyone with sensitive skin. If you ever have a rash or allergic reaction to anything, 8 hour cream is the ticket. My friends and I joke that it's the equivalent of Windex from the movie, "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." One of my friends was spending hundreds of dollars going to ther dermatologist for these sores she was getting on her face. He gave her steroid creams, pills, etc., and it only got worse. I told her to use the 8-hour cream and within a week, it was cleared up. The smell and texture are not luxurious by any means, but there's definitely a reason why it's been around for so long and when the company wanted to discontinue it, enough women complained that it was put back in the skincare line.

Have to say that when the weather is harsh or you are going to be on the water or a bike for awhile, this stuff is a great protectant. I wonder if they changed the fragrance. I don't remember it smelling bad.

Very Happy This stuff is a lifesaver, I know that the smell is a bit off putting but for dry patches, flakey skin around nose, sunburn, the odd spot, windburn, after waxing it really is soothing and a great product to have to hand.

It really is a very versatile product and can be used as a lip balm or gloss.

I agree with Roisin may I also suggest taking the tiniest dab and applying to your eyelids and cheekbones to give you that magazine photo sheen Wink
