I recommended a month ago my sister to use AHA and BHA for getting better skin. And I ordered some acid samples with different concerntration from skincare Central, so that she can get used to the acid gradually. There was no problem at all when she used the sample of glycolic acid below 7.5%. But two days ago, she started 7:5% glycolic acid. Unfortunately she immetiately felt burnt, then washed off right away. But the next day, her face was still a bit red till today, and there is a small slice in skin that looks like it was cut by a knife.
Will there be scare left? or some uglies left later? What can she do now? Can she continue using Vit.C?
I really appreciate your answer. Thank you very much! |

I'd have her lay off other products for a few days and just use some emu oil. She'll be fine. I don't think there's any need to worry. |

Oooops. Forgot to add that you should absolutely make sure that she applies sunscreen. It doesn't matter whether it seems sunny out or not or whether she plans on spending a long time outdoors! |

Thank you katee. I thought Vit.C is antiinflammation, so it should be good for this kind of burnt. But I think you are right, she should stop everything, except emu oil. Thanks again. |

been there, done that!
katee's right -- just gentle cleansing, sunscreen and emu oil. NO VIT C! it'll be better in a few days. |
