Hi,
Some of you may remember my post from a couple years ago about how swollen my upper brow area is. Even though I know it is something medical causing it I have exhausted that route and came up with nothing. Numerous allergy specialists insist it is allergies but have never been able to pinpoint anything.
I did lympathic drainage and had all the related tests and they came back negative too. This has been a serious issue for me for over four years now.
Anyway back to the point. Recently I saw a plastic surgeon who is going to correct it with an upper bleph. He is going to snip my corrugator muscle during the procedure which will stop me being able to frown. The corrugators are the muscles that allow us to frown. I did a google search and never came up with much info so am curious as to if anyone has had this done.
Also if anyone has had an upper bleph I have some questions if you wouldnt mind pming me.
Thanks in advance. |

Please make sure your surgeon knows what he is doing, it sounds scary to me. Hopefully someone who knows something about this will come along & give you some inspiring advice. |

Thanks Lori,
He is the only surgeon in New Brunswick I would dream of letting near me. It took me three years to the day to even get in to see him. He has been doing plastic surgery for about 35 years. I have complete confidence in him but am still scared shitless , plastic surgery is not anything I take lightly.
I had botox four times to correct it. Of the four only one gave me good results. I am so sick of looking stern and as if I am scowling at people. |

Well it sounds like you have done your homework. I know what ya mean about the frown. I have one too. I also had lips that drooped down at the sides mekkin me look sad but the Tua Viso seems to have helped that or it could be the L2K system or a combination of both. Not sure but I do know I don't look quite so sad.
Good luck with it if you decide to go ahead. Keep me updated. Hark at me I sound all growed up. |

Not sure what is scarier. The thoughts of plastic surgery or knowing how hard you must have hit your head to sound so serious and all grown up hehe. |

Lori, this info you posted intrigues me. My mouth points downward at the corners too (if you look at the line between my two lips when they are closed, it slopes downward). I'm really lemming a NuFace or Tua Viso or one of the other machines like it.
I use L2K (though I need to be better about my product application) and I think it really only works on the lips and surrounding tissue themselves, not enough to lift a downward sloping lip line, so I think your results are from the Tua Viso. How long have you been using it? Where on your face do you apply it to get the mouth corners to raise up? Any additional info would be most interesting to me. Thank you! |

Hiya,
I must admit it is more likely that the TV has pulled up my lips. To be honest the L2K has made my lips much more hydrated and smoother but thats about it.
I think four of the tv excercises pull the mouth up. I have been using Cesce's which she kindly let me try for about a month. I have liked the results so far & just purchashed for myself.
It is hard for me to describe so I am going to link you to the site & you can watch the video which may show you better than I can explain. Ignore the fact that the woman Tina Richards has a perfect face & talks all nicey nicey, puke, puke. Also ignore the fact that the model has flippin perfect bone structure & no wrinkles & just look at the bits that the TV moves.
I like the fact that it uses sponges not a mucky gel which means you can space out the excercises. I do them whilst cleaning, browsing EDS, cooking etc.
Anyway it has definitely helped me. Here is the link.

I am happy to answer any more questions, you can pm me if you like. I am always here. |

Hi Lori, did you purchase the Tua Viso from that site? I couldn't find a link that went to the actual product at all. Have been thinking about getting the NuFace for ages now, but this looks like another alternative that might need to be investigated first. |

I almost forgot! Sherri I have the exact same problem with my brow that you do - unless I have a really good practitioner, botox doesn't help my frown at all . I hope all goes well for you. |

If you go to this page scroll down & click on the Tina I want to feel empowered linky thing that should take you to the purchase page. I did buy from this site. It is down to £149 as well which I didn't think was bad. What put me off of the Nuface was the UK price & the fact you need gel as a conductor. Plus Cesce let me try her Tuo Viso.
I copied and pasted this bit from the bottom of the page on the website. I think you would know within 90 days if you like it or not.
Sherriin, sorry about hijacking your thread. You can pm me an abusive message if ya like. I have broad shoulders. Although GG will be proud of me, she loves it when we hijack threads. Its the little devil in her.
If you’re not 100% satisfied I’ll refund your money in full. That’s my Iron Clad
