I registered with them in case I decided to take part in a live auction on the spur of the moment. But they sent so many newsletters it was annoying. I unsubscribed, but the emails kept coming. I called and a CS person said he would take care of it, but the emails kept coming. I emailed the president and the tech support person 3X in total, stating my annoyance more forcefully each time, but the emails keep coming. In fact, I strongly believe they have retaliated by using my email address to sign up on miscellaneous websites! I'm not kidding -- it's too much of a coincidence, timing and all.
I know -- I should have used an email address just for web sign-ups. I was in a hurry, or wasn't thinking at the time, I guess I'm usually more careful...
So now I have reported them to the US FTC.
"If you wish to report unsolicited commercial email to the FTC, you should forward that spam to spam@uce.gov"
Got that info from this site:
http://cc.uoregon.edu/cnews/fall2002/spamreport.html
The site also has info on how to report certain kinds of spam directly to the appropriate government agency.
I have also reported it to my ISP and hopefully future emails from Bidz.com will be blocked.
Hope this saves others from the same hassle!

In the past I've bought heaps of things from bidz (back when there was lots of jewellery to choose from) and I have never received emails from them other than the usual payment confirmations. I haven't bought anything for 12 or so months from that site and didnt even know they newsletters - not that I want any either! |

You're all welcome!
kalegr, you really don't want them. I have a few I saved because I forwarded them to the president and tech guy at the company. I just went and counted - in 6 days I received 3 *newsletters* from them! Yes, this was all after unsubscribing and calling customer service.
I told the president that if he cared about reputation of the company, he would make sure I was removed from the mailing list. Emailed him 3x in 3 weeks. Still getting the emails from the company, so obviously he doesn't care.
And as I said, I started receiving suspicious spam from other sources out of the blue and all at once.
poohlisey - I don't know about yahoo.com, but yahoo.ca (for Canada) is pretty good about dealing with spam.
Thanks everyone, for your support. I believe in having a big mouth when it comes to stuff like this!
