ok important questions - are you TCA peelers not using cleanser or putting anything on face until after it starts to peel? |
Hi there,
Yes I don't use cleanser either. After the peel I only use copper peptides twice a day until all the peeling is done which is usually about 4-5 days then I begin to introduce my whole regime one product at a time. If I do want cleanse my face after a night out etc then I use cetaphil or something really gentle. HTH Dips |

Hi Dips -
it is just if you do this in the summer and you need to go out you have to slather on sunscreen and and by the end of the day it feels so cruddy and I just have to wash my face. |

Yes, that is MUAC. I like their stuff (my personal opinion is that most of it is overpriced, though).
They sell some "soapless" face soap bars that are used before and after peels. Great bars - very gentle, leave the face feeling great.
Good luck! BF |

How far apart are your peels in terms of weeks?
Do you follow any sort of special regimin in between peels? BF |
Hi Barefootgirl,
My peels are roughly 3 - 4 weeks apart. I was very silly and did one only 2 weeks apart - great results but very risky and stressful so I won't be doing that again. In between peels once I am all peeled I do the following.
MORNING:
Glycolic cleanser
Glycolic toner
Meladerm skin lightener for my hyperpigmentation (not working as well as when my hyperpigmentation was severe but using up what I have left)
Vit C serum (15%)
and then sunscreen.
EVENING:
Glycolic cleanser
Glycolic toner
Meladerm skin lightener
Retin A
Emu Oil
I was using copper peps every second night but have decided to stop this for a while and use retin a every night as that is making the peel go much deeper and the results much better.
The above does not apply while I'm peeling. During these 7 - 12 days I use Copper Peps and emu oil every night.
How about you barefoot girl - what is your regimen? Dips |

Hey Dips, sorry it took me awhile:
AM:
"soapless" cleanser like Cerave or DHC oil or sometimes a glycolic cleanser.
Skinmedica C if I have time
Sunscreen
Makeup
PM:
Soapless cleanser
Retin A or Tazorac
Lately, now adding TCA peels |

Today is the 4th day after a 15% TCA peel.
I think it's my 5th in a year (the previous 4 were 12.5%).
As with the previous peels, I looked at myself the first two days and was convinced I'd ruined my face, lol. Now with 60% of my face peeled, I'm reminded why I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE TCA
No other peel seems to do to skin what TCA does. The skin really looks "reborn".
The only thing I put on my face the first 5 days is the regular cp serum. |

Hey Barefootgirl,
No prob - so many threads going on so easily to miss heaps of info. Thanks for info on your regime - sound very nice and simple - that thats what I need to be doing in the near future. Just finished a peel. Started back on actives earlier and it worked out quite well - peeling finished faster. Take care
