glad to hear it.
and a good lesson, perhpas. listen to others/self treat and all. but a good idea to also see a doctor. both are good. |
Yeah, I know I drag my feet about going to see a doctor usually but this time in particular because I've had this problem since December, and already went to see my primary care doctor twice, and then he finally referred me to a derm which took another 3 weeks. The thought of waiting another 3 weeks just was not appetizing. When I called the first time to make an appointment with the derm after my referral went through, it seemed he was always booked up. It was very discouraging. I don't know how they were able to squeeze me in right away the last two visits. But I'm not going to ask why. I just accepted the appointments graciously. The derm admitted that the cream he prescribed for me last week was ineffectiev (just another steroid cream), and I'm glad I didn't fill it. I think I can donate my steroid creams since I have 4 differnt kinds now. lol
BTW, for those that suffer from ringworm, the liquid bandage trick works. It must suffocate the fungus b/c the redness fades and no itchiness. Also the white iodine seems to work, too. I'm back on Oreg Oil again in addition to the anti-fungal pills. |
