Double cleansing is too much of work for me. For me skin care not only has to work but also has to feel pleasant and be easy. So I was very pessimistic when with a purchase of a regular Kanebo product I received a luxury size sample of double cleansing products. Even more pessimistic, when I consider my long search for the right cleanser (not to mention the amount of money spent for…). My ultimate HG cleanser is still Eve Lom, have never found anything better (in spite of testing ca. 10 cleansers during the recent 10 months). But the Kanebo is pretty near …
In usual I’m very sceptical with reviews after just first try but this time I almost did it, I was absolutely impressed, especially with the pore clearing essence – which though wouldn’t work that well without the other two products, obviously.
The cleansing milk is meant to be the first step of cleansing – but also the only step, if you don’t heave heavy make-up, etc. (which is my case). It’s not really milky, rather a thick emulsion, which melts on the skin and makes an oily feeling. I massage it few minutes, and take it off with a muslin cloth. The skin is clean but not overdried.
Ca. twice a week in the evening after this step I apply the pore cleansing essence, which is a clear oily fluid, equipped with a dropper cap. I drop it directly on my forehead, chin and “nose area”, where I have my pore-issues…, massage it few minutes. Then take the 2nd step Cleanser (which is meant to polish and refine): the Creamy Soap. It’s a thick paste which mixed with water builds a rich creamy foam. I wash it off with hot water, and finish with muslin cloth in cold water. And voila, my pores are absolutely clean.

The Kanebo products have a very light (citrus) scent. My skin is a bit sensitive, but these product were not irritating. In the meantime I bought a regular size from all 3 products.
The 1st step is also available as cleansing gel with scrub, cleansing cream and cleansing oil.
The 2nd step is available also as mud soap and milky soap.

I was using a small bottle of Kanebo cleansing cream back many years ago when I was in college. That was the first Japanese product I tried and totally loved it. But ever since I came to canada, not able to find it. Do U know where I can shop it in Canada?
Thanks! Idea

I love the clay wash from Kanebo. It removes blackheads while cleansing every day.

yes, it is too hard to buy in north America, but you can get it from some HK website, they will deliver goods over sea.
