I have a couple of these on my face right now, due to an annoying and rare breakout. They tend to go away on their own after a month or so, but I'm finding a couple things helpful in making them go away much sooner:

1. CareKate's Super Sonic Mask (lightens the spots doesn't get rid of them)
2. Using Asian whitening/brightening products (I'm currently using the Asia-only L'Oreal White Perfect toner and essence and pretty amazed at how much faster my skin tone is evening out after just a half week usage. It's still uneven but much, much better. I've also had luck in the past with the Kose Sekkisei line and also with the Kanebo Freshel White C line)

Decleor Prolagene gel is great for getting rid of red marks from spots, although give it at least a month.

I am currently trying Daisy serum from GOW, but it is too early to say anything.

What had helped me in the past was - combination of AHA/BHA (from ifeelpretty) and healing oils (Healing Serum and Clarifying Serum from ifeelpretty) and SkinBio Emu Oil.

Good luck,
Lucy.

a product that has salicylic acid would help with the clogged pores and the coloring left afterwards.

By the way, if you do for the Decleor Prolagene gel, go for the larger one (200ml), it's much more economical to get the one for the body than the one for the face, (50ml), they're both the same thing.

I wish I knew the answer to this question Crying or Very sad But from my experience the JB green apple peel helps, as does Vitamin E oil if you can use it on your face without getting breakouts. Unfortunately I can't use it on my face, but I do use it to help reduce some of my stretch marks. However I don't know of anything that you can use topically to get rid of all acne scars completely.

I must add this product to my things to try list Think I have heard so many great reviews about it. Plus generally speaking, I'm a big fan of all Decleor skincare Very Happy

the 'sort of scars' actually will fade away eventually after some time.. i have lots of those.. fair skin tends to suffer from all this.. easily scar.. anyway.. i think any cream that deals with healing will help speed up the process.. vit E, emu oil, calendula...... though i wouldn't suggest whitening it..

thanks for all your advice. I really feel bad for her and want to help her with her skin, 16 is such a delicate age and I can remeber when I had acne how awful it was for your self confidence.

I've been using my Beyond Belief Nose Peel on my chin to fade some marks. I've seen some results; you can get it at Sally's.

Since your daughter is so young, she has the advantage of having a young skin. If you follow simple routines like drink lots of water, wash your face atleast once in the morning and once before you go to bed. Use a good moisturiser after you have cleansed your face.Use one which has more water content and not too much oil. If you do not want to buy a new moisturiser, you can just splash your hands with water and apply the moisturiser with the damp hand which will lock the moisture in. You could give this routine a try and see if it works for your daughter.
