Hi All,

I am in my mid twenties and have lately noticed some light brown patches on my forehead and upper lip (which thanks to all of your postings I'm learning that they are hyperpigmentation!) I also have some enlarged pores on my cheeks and combination skin. I'm thinking of trying the Murad Essential C product line...has anyone tried this line? thoughts?

I've also begun reading about the MSM supplement...would it help to take that in combination w/ the Murad Essential C line?

Any thoughts/recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Sorry for such a long posting! Very Happy

If you are in your mid-twenties and are having some pigmentation issues then I would suggest actually getting a vitamin C serum. Viver and Skinceuticals are both pretty good. Skinceuticals also makes a gel that targets pigmentation specifically: Phyto+.

I do like some of the products in the Essential-C line though. Which products specifically are you looking at getting?

I use the essential C eye stuff, on Mabsy's recommendation. It's a lovely eye cream and the only one I've stuck with. Lines haven't got worse, can't say if they have improved due to the fact that my skin is currently horrible at the moment! I think that as Mabsy says a C serum is a really good idea. I'm convinced that my (previously!) good skin was totally due to the 20% C serum from skinceuticles. My skin tone is much more even and some fine lines hae decreased. I'd also recommend a broad spectrum (UVA + UVB) sunblock, as sunlight really helps to kick in freckles and pigmentation generally. Very Happy
