Hi,

I've always read in magazines and forums that the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is great for healing pimple (will dry overnight!!). And I was just going to make a purchse on their website but found no shipping rates at all...

Does anyone know the shipping structure? or if any Canadian stores (Holt Renfrew??) carry the line?

Thanks very much!

hi there
if you live in toronto, you can get mario badescu products at a store called ice on cumberland avenue in yorkville, or delineation on yonge street (www.delineation.ca) which does have mail order set up.

They call it a ‘consultation’...click on this link and fill out the questionnaire: http://mariobadescu.com/consult.asp If there’s any specific products you’d like to try, type the request into question #13 “Is there anything else you’d like to tell us about your skin.” Once you complete and submit the survey, about 2-3 weeks later you’ll get a ‘goody bag’ with 5-6 sample products that they think will be good for your skin type based on your question responses. It’s great! I got my goody bag and liked a couple of the products so well, I went out and bought full sizes when the samples ran out (depending on how much you use, they can last anywhere from 1-3 weeks!). I have to confess that I cheated, though. After I filled out my survey and got my samples, I decided there was a couple other products I wanted to try so I filled out another survey in my mom’s name Embarassed and made sure to specifically request the stuff I didn’t get in my own goody bag!! Anyway, at first I thought MB only did this for customers within the U.S., but since Christine says she got her samples, I guess maybe they send them to anyone within North America...? Bad news for those overseas, though: MB does NOT send samples to those overseas who have completed the survey Crying or Very sad ...that’s too bad, but I guess you really couldn’t blame them – it would probably cost the earth to ship all those freebies internationally!

So anyway, what are you waiting for?? Go fill out the questionnaire!

HTH,
Carrie

I bought the drying lotion from their websit after reading that how a lot of celebs and model like Naomi use it on many magazines.
It's good but I think it's not as magical as I expect it would be (like heals pimple overnight).
I live in Toronto and I only order this 1 product so I didn't pay any custom fee, but I think if you want to order more than one product it's better to go to those place that sell MB in Canada , because the Canadian custom tax is crazy!! I always have to pay a lot of $$ when I buy stuff form US.

Can u tell me how much is the custom fee? around maybe? because i've never ordered anything from US. Might be useful to know sometimes in the future, coz there are many products that i want to get but it's hard ro find in Canada Laughing

Have u tried their healing cream? Heard that it can helps with acne scars.

christine,

they charge GST for sure, and I think PST too.

Some products get charged more duty than others. If the product is imported you'll pay more (Never order italian shoes from the USA)

not sure about beauty products though, I've only ordered from one us company b/c they mark it as gift. I think that some sites like sephora tell you the duty when you check out

Oh ic... thanks lianne.
Because I heard from my friend that the duty fees are quite high when u order something from outside Canada. So i tend to find an online shopping site that based in Canada.
