I have been using Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser for the past year (my skin is dry-ish and can be a bit sensitive), but I am considering switching back to Decleor, which I used to love in the past. I know what creams to use, but can't decide on a cleanser for this season. In the winter, I'm using the cleansing cream for dry skin, but it might be a bit too rich for now. I have the foaming cleanser in the shower, but it seems to be too drying.
Suggestions? How is the cleansing oil? Or the cleansing milk???? |

Use the Cleansing Milk for Face & Eyes. It balances the skin, and should not irritate your slightly sensitive skin. If you'd like to try other Decleor cleansers, please do not hesitate to request these when placing your order. Decleor seems to allocate samples generously to EDS, which we're happy to extend to our customers. |

I normally don't like cleansing milks, but I haven't tried the one from Decleor. I was thinking about the cleansing oil, which I haven't tried either. I used to like the Visage Pur cleansing cream, but that has been discontinued, of course (when you really like something...) |

Hi Nemi,
I bought the Decleor Cleansing Oil on Leeleedeedee's recommendation and I really like it. It melts off makeup very effectively and rinses clean. Leaves my face feeling comfortable but not oily.
I can also recommend the Babor Hy-OL Cleanser which is also an oil cleanser. This is an interesting one as it is (but doesn't have to be I gather) a two-step operation. You put the Hy-OL Cleanser on your dry skin and then massage one of the Babor Phytoactive herbal extracts over it with wet fingers. I tried the Hy-OL + Phytoactive Sensitive combo and liked that as well. Again, very similar to the Decleor - removes makeup well and leaves my face comfortable.

I use the decleor cleansing milk and find it great. Doesnt irritate my skin at all and gets all traces of make up off...Leaves the face very soft and smooth.. |

Hmm, how is the texture of the cleansing milk? Is it rich, or is it runny? I prefer creamier textures, and in winter, I use cleansing creams.
Recommendations from other brands, if I decide to mix and match? I am a bit fed up with Dermalogica after having used Dermalogica only for ONE WHOLE YEAR now! Personal record!!!
My skin is dryish, slightly sensitive at times, but not at the moment, when it is behaving perfectly normal. I am trying to use up the Shiseido The Skincare Cleansing Foam, which I really like, but it's a bit too drying; I prefer the foaming cleansers in the shower at AM. |

Well if you like a creamy texture, why not try Gatineau Serenite cleanser. I have the cleanser and toner and use it alternatively with the decleor cleansing milk...
The Gatineau is definately a very creamy texture. You use circular movements and rub into your face for a good 2 mins. It shouldnt disappear into your skin either. Then take off the remaining prodyct with the toner. ( thats how Andrew Bagley (founder of Gatineau UK) said to use it)!
I have very sensitive skin and find both these products excellent. |
