Frailty, thy name is the cosmetics industry!!! Why must cosmetics companies be so fickle and discontinue everything I love? After trying literally every lip balm under the sun and finding most of them to be too waxy, too greasy, too boring, unpleasantly flavored, etc etc, I thought I could finally relax and stop searching now that I had my comfortable triumvirate of HG lip balms: Ganache for Lips, Perfect Complexion Perfect Kisser Balm, and of course, Duwop's Buttercream balm. What I liked about the Buttercream balm is that it has this really gorgeous silky texture, and the scent and flavor were really unique. It wasn't your typical boring vanilla flavor, but more like rich maple syrup. Anyways, I just grabbed another off the Duwop site so I can enjoy the buttercream goodness for as long as possible--- if anyone else is addicted to this balm then I would suggest that you do the same! |

That always happens to me as well. Seriously I have had more than a handful of my favorites discontinued. I've found though that even YEARS after the fact, if you watch ebay you can always find your favorites. There's a mascara I like that was discontinued probably like the early 90's (yeah seriously.. don't ask.. I started wearing makeup WAY to young). Anyway, this mascara was discontinued for the only reason that it was the best mascara EVER and if they kept it out they couldn't make their billions from coming out with a newer crappier version each month. Every now and then I see it on ebay (sealed and everything).. but the fact that its getting that old (even though they're sealed) is starting to scare me. |
