I was wondering if anyone here has tried bare minerals and if it was any good. I dont want to go and buy it if it doesn't work (being that its 60 bucks plus shipping and handling).
Anyways it seemed pretty interesting so i wondered if anyone had tried it.
Thanks

Of course. It gives a very natural look to the skin and is easy to blend you can apply light for a fresh look or keep adding more for a more 'made up' look. Plus as it's a powder it will last for ages!.

Erin,

Quite a few people on this forum have tried Bare Minerals and all sorts of other mineral makeup brands. Do a search (upper right hand corner) and you should find heaps of previous discussions about it. Personally I do like Bare Minerals, it's very lightweight you don't feel like you're wearing any makeup.

wave Hey ladies. Although I've switched to JI minerals, I still highly recommend the BE Mineral Veil. It nicely blends everything together and has a beautiful sheen.

Hi

I ordered bare minerals on Monday and I was really scared if I did the right thing. I never used makeup before and I think in such a small age (I'm turning 16 in 2 weeks) to start using makeup. Due to my acne, I have really low confidence and caused depression. I ordered it because I want to improve my skin. I don't know what to do, but to order since I everyone say it's good and I really want to hide it.

Is bare minerals good for your skin? I mean not looks good, but helps improve acne, pores, and calms inflammations instead of hiding it?

with less hope,

They dont actually make any of these official claims, but some testimonials (from QVC) did say that they have experienced improvements with acne, etc.

I have been using BE mineral foundation (on and off), I wouldnt expect that makeup can help improve skin condition, rather, I would rely more on quality skincare products instead. So, I would suggest you looking for some skincare products that are specifically designed for acne problems, e.g. MDF, Murad, etc. At your age (16), it can be quite normal to have acne problems, these problems can go away later if you take good care of your skin. Wink If you do a search on this forum, you will be able to get a lot of precious information about the tips for acne problems Rolling Eyes

Escents,

Mineral makeup is recommended (by derms) for rosacea sufferers and people with sensitive skin, and acne/breakout problems. It's not going to improve your skin unless you are currently using makeup that is affecting it. However, it certainly won't make matters worse and will offer some coverage (you can dot the foundation powder on and it doubles as a concealer Wink). I do agree with Bbiz in that you should look for a simple skin care routine that will help target acne. Perhaps something with a small concentration of BHAs in it (Salicylic Acid) or a bacteria-busting cleanser? What are you using at the moment?

Mabsy,

Currently I am using Oxy. It doesn't seem to work. I tried other medication and many products. It's really annoying not to find the right product for your skin. Nothing makes the acne go away. I was planning to use Proactiv, but as I said, I ordered Bare Minerals. I don't have anymore money and time because I don't want to try it and lose the hope again.

I ordered a set of Bare Esc make up yesterday, I saw it being shown on QVC a few weeks ago and really liked how it looked after it had been applied on the models, can't wait for it to come so I can try it out for myself..

I got to tell ya, getting BE for your acne is a good start. A friend of mine who is well into her 20's suffers with bad acne, and when I pu this on her, she went right online and ordered some. It covers amazingly (if that is a word!!lol) I love the BE's myself. I will never go back to liquid makeup again!! Good Luck with them, and I hope it works for ya. Very Happy

I just love Bare Escentuals cosmetics. I have had problems with breakouts for the last 20 years. Since I switched over from liquid make-up to B.E. mineral foundation (been 2 1/2 months now), my skin has been great! An occasional pimple here and there, but nothing like before.

I started using MD Formulations & BE at the same time, about 3 mths ago.
Gotta say I love all of these products.
Friends (ones that normally wouldn't ask) have been asking me what I am doing & passing onto other friends, so must be working well. Smile
