Since moisturizers prevent water loss and keep hydration in the skin, is it best to apply moisturizer while skin is still wet?
Also, since our natural sebum is meant to also trap in moisture as well, should jojoba oil be applied only after moisturizer is applied?
Or is moisturizer go after the essential oil or even together.
I hope this makes sense, I've been thinking it through and this seems logical, I hope I am right . |

Most moisturizers contain a great deal of water. You don't need to trap any beads of water on your face if that's what you're asking.
If you use both a water-based moisturizer and an oil/oil-based moisturizer, the water-based should go first. I'd check to see how occlusive that first moisturizer is though, before layering on an oil.
PS: Sebum has little to do with barrier function. |
