I have lately received a lot of compliments on my soft hands. My secret is that I also exfoliate my hands when I do my face. Any left over products on my hands after massaging my face, I rub into my hands before rinsing it off. This leavs my hands soft and smooth. The cuticles are in great condition too. Then I massage my "secret" hand lotion into my hands before I go to bed... And my "secret" hand lotion is Scholls softening foot lotion! This is wonderful on my hands, absolutly the best compared to all the other hand creams I've tried! And I'm 30 so I've tried a lot. It does take a minute or two to sink in to the skin, but the skin becomes soft and smooth. The smell is also good, but can be a bit strong at first. |

I wear white cotton gloves when I drive and apply sunscreen that is leftover from my facial products to my hands....I think the gloves really help immensely though. I have had some good luck with using Retin-A to get rid of some brown spots. I hear that light peels are excellent for this as well. |

Avoid doing heavy duty chores with your hands goes a long way keeping them in good shape. Wearing gloves, moisturizing and sunscreen are also very important. |

Avoiding all chores Ok, so that's not really achievable.
Like Aurora, I also exfoliate my hands. I don't actually exfoliate my hands everytime I exfoliate my face though because I'm using Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream now so I'm not using any scrubs at the moment. But everytime I have a bath (as opposed to a shower) I exfoliate them with some MDF Face & Body Scrub (it's got AHAs in it), then massage in some Dermalogica Toxin Relief Oil (or any other body oil for that matter) and then slather on some cream. At the moment I'm jumping between Nailtiques, Jurlique and MMU handcreams.
In the morning I also try (doesn't always happen) to dab some sunblock or moisturiser with SPF on the top of my hands.
I hear that paraffin wax treatments are great for hands. Has anyone had them done? What are they like?
