any Masks recommendations

for oily sensitive skin. I am looking for a mask(s) to purify and hydrate. I bought Queen Helen's Mint Julep but it seem to burn my face and get redness. I tried it again and again and did the same thing Crying or Very sad

. Now it's just sitting in my not to use pile.

I would suggest that all people with sensitive skin just stay away from it really.

Can't help on the masks for oily/sensitive skin sorry - I'm sure heaps of others will be able to suggest things though.

Try the Milk of Magnesia mask. It's good for oily/sensitive skin.

I have sensitive/oily/break-out-prone skin. I was told by my facialist to use Yonka's 103 mask. It smells good, and feels good too. She told me to leave it on problem areas for 20 minutes. I will update after I have used it for a while.

take a egg yolk, add a teaspoon a spoon of honey, and half a teaspoon of fresh lemon juce. mix everything and apply to your face. leave for twenty min to a half an hour...then wash with warm water, pat dry and apply a tonic....skin feels great and looks radiant...

Aye Aye to Evelyn on that mask. I have used that plenty of times & ur skin feels & looks great. I also apply fresh papaya & banana pulp mixture on my face. If u want something from the store, try cellex c advanced-c skin toning mask (available on this website). It is great for my oily-combination skin. For my sister who has acne scars, this mask has done wonders.

How about dr. Hauschka's rejeuvenating mask? It is wonderful!! I know that you can buy a trial size so that you don't have to splurge on the full size before you get a change to try it out.

Try Phytomer's Purifying Mask. I have quite dry skin but it wasn't dry for me at all. Phytomer's stuff are usually quite gentle.

you should use dr. hauschka's Cleansing Clay Mask. it is formulated exactly for your skin type, and i have heard wonderful things about it. I'm going to try it tomorrow and probably write a review about it after Smile

The Dr H Rejuventaing could be a goer - it is very gentle. I don't know if it's purifying though - although on the box says that it's slightly exfoliating. I'm not sure about the Dr H Clay mask - clay masks in general could be too harsh. But hey, you were game enough to try the Queen Helene so why not! Smile

Oh, another mask that comes to mind is Chanel Masque Puretee Express. Should be suitable for sensitive skins - but get a sample first. This is one of the only Chanel skincare items that I actually like....

hey cbeb - i'm not sure if you read my post on the other forum about this, but i had a mega-massive breakout last week and have been using the dr h rejuv mask to help it up, it has been fantastic! one thing you have to remember about dr h products is that they work with your skin's natural processes to heal so the results are not over night like some of the other product ranges (thinking of the dermalogica products that i have used) but it seems like it's working more naturally? does that make sense?
i have skin that scars quite easily and have found after my mega issue last week and using the dr h rejuv mask (which you can use more intensively as a day moisturiser as well) that the scarring is not as bad as i would have normally expected it to be. so all in all i would recommend it. you can buy small packs of it (like 10mls or something) so maybe start with one of those to see if you like it! good luck!

i agree with cbeb about using the dr h clay mask, it's actually really gentle but you can see a real difference after using it. my skin definitely feels clearer and purified after i've used it. i'd also recommend steaming your face over some hot water (not boiling but as hot as you can get it from the tap) BEFORE you apply this mask. it opens up your pores a bit so that all the junk inside can be more easily sucked out by the mask. ick, that sounds really gross but i'm sure you get my meaning Wink

I tend to agree with Mabsy. I think Dr Hauschka Cleansing Clay Mask is bit too harsh. I've only used it twice, and my skin felt scratched. On the other hand, it could be I used cold water to wash off and I didn't steam before use. But, are those necessary?

As advise from my doctor, dont use lemon juice and stream your face, these are not for sensitive skin.

Yes, keeping the mask damp is a very good point. I always let my mud masks dry out but I don't have sensitive skin though.

On a masque that you need to keep moist, wouldn't one of the misting sprays work well for that? If you use one with other nourishing ingredients, would it make the mask even better?

I recently bought a mask from the Body Deli Judy. They also said to keep it moist. Yes, they recommended doing this with their mist. However, I think you could do it with any facial mist including rose water.

If you live in the US check out the Body Deli masques if you want some pampering. AWESOME!!!
