I'm 37 and have had minor problems with my face skin: i have very few expression lines and I have not tried Botox ( yet ).
But I have recently noticed that my face has started "sagging" and looks blotched.
What should I do?
Thanks ””” |

i think you should use some anti-age, many brand carry this line, and you can do some massage against sag!
btw: i think you can ask administrators to give you your a new password. |

I've read (and I just ordered) that facercise is really good for this type of this. It's exercises that would firm your face. |

I am a little skeptical about facercise - wouldn't you get more wrinkles due to the facial muscle movement. IMO, one probably be better off using "high tech" devices that used at spa salon that would work your skin cells without moving the muscle itself. |

Jimena, you may be a little young at 37 for this, but it's normal to experience "loss of volume" in the face, which makes it appear "saggy". So, assuming you don't want to gain lots of weight to appear fuller... Here's how I'm fighting back with the same problem:
1) good nutrition, lots of pure water, lots of supplements for skin support;
2) smile and be happy, at least you'll feel better!
3) BabyQ LED device by AdvancedTherapeutics - there are lots of threads on this forum with the specifics. I am loving this thingy more&more - it's not an overnite cure, but effects are cumulative and noticeable if you keep at it!
3) There are a ton of antiaging products out there - experiment until you find what's right for you. You can spend a fortune tho, so beware and get samples B4 you buy! You can go towww.makeupalley.com for great swap deals on stuff that didn't work for somebody else. HTH and good luck! fawnie |

I think the whole point of facial exercises is you don't get more wrinkles while you do them. Have you done them? |

Hi Jimena!
You've just described my skin almost exactly (except I say yes to botox)
No lines, but starting to sag
Here's a little song I sing to myself when I look in the mirror--it makes me giggle, and then I look better!
To be sung to the tune of "I Fought The Law"

heathercolorado: you are hysterical!!!
Okay, face sag - sad to say that as I turned 28, I was noticing *gasp* jowls just very slightly starting to form and freaked out at the face sagging I got! My face did not look like this when I was 22! It was weird, it was almost like a sudden realization that my jawline did not look the same as 6 years ago anymore. lol. I immediately researched and turned to copper peptides (Skin Bio's CP's). So now I'm 29 (going on 30 this year) and I'm very happy to say that my jawline, while probably not 22 yet is pretty damned good. The sag is significantly reduced, and if I was better at using my CP's I could probably fight it back some more, but I'm lazy and have only been using them once every week or 2 now (which is decent for maintenance mode but not to get the sag lifted). I have to tack on a giant warning though - CP's are miraculous for some people while other people have had bad reactions to it. I'm in the middle, my eye area skin HATES Cp's with a passion (I get droopy eyelids which I suspect is some sort of allergic puffiness???), but the rest of my face and neck loves the stuff. |

Thanks a lot, ladies.
I'm using anti-age ( B5 cellex serum, bought from here ) and Shiseido Refining Cream, which have done wonders to my face, but I still have a strange mixture of sagging and blotchiness
Strange, I know.
I'm losing weight and I hope it improves...
BTW, I have asked twice for my password in "Forgotten your password?" but no email has arrived
And I couldn't find the board admin mail |

If you're losing weight, perhaps that explains the sagging....
And blotchiness may be a sensitivity to the products you're using... |

You can try pm'ing mabsy, magda, or caspers mum directly for your password retrieval. Maybe they can help.
Are you losing weight too fast? You need to lose weight safely at the rate of .5 lb per week, or your skin will have a hard time adjusting. Eat well (fruits, veggies, lean protein, whole grains) and exercise, and you shouldn't have a problem with loose skin.
Have you tried DMAE serum? It helps to firm up skin. I used to have sagging skin on my cheeks which then caused the nasolabia lines, but now most is gone. I'm using Super CP serum and I made my own C serum which I think helps. I use DMAE both morning and night. |

Jimena, I recommend copper peptides for the sagging. Start slow and work up with them. NCN Skincare carries Dr. Pickart's cp's along with some other products that you might find useful. You can email Nanci and she will walk you through everything. |

Before using DMAE take a look at recent report:

Check your "junk mail" - it might have landed there...your e-mail filter might be dumping EDS e-mail.

ACK! That is pretty unsettling stuff! That is enough info for me to bin my DMAE - I won't be putting it on my face for the time being...I wonder if there is any evidence out there that squelches this report's findings?(sigh)..what a bummer and a half....
