I'm just starting to do my research and am looking for qualified injectors for Botox. I want to relax my forehead and crows feet areas as a preventative measure. I don't have any lines (yet) and want to make sure it stays that way for as long as possible. Smile After reading some of the horror stories, it's obvious I need to find a quality injector. Thanks!

I don't have any recs, but you do know that
we will all be waiting for the before and after pics!
BTW, I've seen your pics, and you sure don't look like you need botox! Laughing

Smile Yeah, I know what you're saying! I figured after seeing my latest video that I'm what you'd call "very" expressive and it drives me nuts how I can't remember to not squinch my forehead up all the time. Thankfully, I do not have any lines yet but I was thinking that Botox could help with prevention so I wouldn't be able to furrow my brow so much - know what I mean? Same goes for the crows feet - just need a little relaxation.

Doesn't Katee live out there? Maybe she has a recommendation. Otherwise, most good cosmetic dermatologists and plastic surgeons offer botox. I know out here in Calif EVERYBODY offers the service, so the prices (even from MD's) are very competitive.

Beware of finding it TOO cheap -- that means they're either diluting it or not injecting enough into the area for a lasting result. I'm sure you've done your research, but just thought I'd throw that out there.

I like botox on my (upper)forehead twice a year or so. NOTHING topical works as well...I feel it's worth every penny!

The first time I did it I also did the 11's (mine aren't too bad, though). I loved the wrinklefree result, but I really hated not being able to move my eyebrows. So now I just do my forehead -- I can still have an expressive face without getting those weird vulcan-looking eyebrows.

I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Great minds think alike, Marla! I already PMd her for a recommendation. Smile I know what you mean about price. There is a doctor near me that I've already done some research on (for a possible rhinoplasty but I just can't seem to really commit to it; it'd be nice but I'd be fine without it so...), anyway, I'm going to check with them on Monday. I'm a little disappointed with the docs/injectors that I've called so far because they only offer "area" options, which I think is BS. The other thing is that I have no clue how much I really need and don't want to pay for something I won't actually be getting! The other point is that I found an interesting comment to start off with a lower amount (half than what they think you'll need) because even using more, the effect can be the same. Since I've never had it, I think there'll be some trial and error but I'd like the ability to discuss all of this and most of the places I've checked act like it's a drive-thru. Mad <--- Don't want to end up looking like that all the time because I didn't know what to ask for or expect!

One of my clients brought in an interesting article in Oprah's magazine, I think it was the September issue, in which a panel of PS/Derms discussed botox and gave recommendations. If you can manage to find it somewhere it may be helpful.
