just have to vent for a moment,
my cute neighbor who I have been on the brink of dating for a while just decided to 'stop by'...and it just so happens that I'm up to my neck in exams, and so I've been in my pajamas for 3 days with no makeup and a chin full of stress-acne, hair frizzy....
damn it! seriously!

Under no circumstances will I even answer my door if I'm not dressed. I'm a late dresser on the weekends so if the bell rings, I usually hide in the bedroom while my DH answers the door. There have been many times though that I've been stuck in the kitchen while he chats it up at the door with someone. Mad
Well, at least you've gotten the worse over with. You know, that point in a relationship when you have to show the guy "the real you". Smile

Now you'll know if he really likes you (your personality) or if it was just a shallow infatuation! At any rate, if he pursues you, you will be over this issue on always worrying if you look "good enough." If he doesn't pursue you, you don't need some guy who always expects you to look perfect and can't handle the pajama look!

Charis, Right on, Sistah Pants!
My own "Surprise Visitor" Story: I was getting dressed up and expecting my friend (girl type) from work to be by any minute to pick me up for a nite out.. Well, comes a knock on my door, and knowing it just had to be Doris I flung it open half dressed but smelling divine and ...you guessed it: my cute little next door apartment neighbor (boy type) just stood there AGHAST! Embarassed but smiling his fool head off! He just wanted to stop by to invite me to a Christmas party for the apartment building. Hooo-ha! Brazen hussy that I am, I just stood there and said "Sure!"
Neither of us ever capitalized on that venture, but it gave us something to laugh and fantasize about for a while to come!!!

So...have you seen him again yet??? If not...when you do, just act like nothing happened. I'm sure he's seen girls in a much messier state than you! And, if you just act like all's fine...he'll admire your confidence!

well, if your "in person" personality is anywhere near as fun as your "online personality" then he'll be smitten with you! If it turns out that this meeting was the beginning of the end....well, better sooner than later! Very Happy

Heck, if he's like most guys, he hasn't been able to stop thinking about how lucky he was to catch you not wearing a bra. He probably didn't even notice the hair!!

it's Murphy's Law. The one time, and litterly I mean one time I run to the grocery store with my hair twisted up and only lip gloss and who do you think I run into? My EX boyfriend and his "new" girlfriend. Of course, I broke up with him, but I am sure he either told his new girl, oh you are so much cutier than her, or he is completely dishonest and did not even tell her I was his ex, for fear of looking like he dated a horrible looking woman. Crying or Very sad

I think I'm getting positively sadistic in my old age. I actually enjoyed scaring the postman last week when I opened the door with my hair behind a huge headband, my face covered in avocado, and my glasses on.

It would have mortified me years ago, now I cackle at freakin' out the young 'uns. There has to be some benefits to aging, right?

Actually, I prefer: "Face it, tiger. You just hit the jackpot!" (That's a Spiderman quote, but it's totally applicable here!^-^) Not to worry waffle, I've been caught with my pants down (OK, not literally, but I've been caught with breakouts and unsexy jammies) by sexy neighbors more times than I can count (this was in my pre-married life...), and I always made sure they saw me later all dolled up, which then led to dates. So, not to worry, one look at you in goddess-mode and all will be forgotten!!

You think that's bad, wait for this!!

Our back garden is not overlooked if you lay down in a certain spot, so last year in the summer, whilst sunbatheing I decided to go topless! First time I have EVER gone topless and boy did I feel nude! Smile There I was laying down enjoying the sunshine with my headphones on until something caught my eye and I looked up to see my next door neighbour standing on a ladder cleaning his conservatory roof in full view of me!! As I spotted him, he spotted me and nearly fell off his ladder! Well I could have died of embarrassment! The worse thing is....... he's a vicar!
