I am quite pale and love the look of cream blush to liven up my skin without making it look older. However, most cream blushes make my pores look larger. They also seem to come off quickly.
I LOOVE NYX Rouge. I read about it on MakeupAlley, and then, based on my skintone and those reviews, bought Glow and Hot Pink. Glow is my favorite! Both look a little scary in the pot and go on a little bright, but they tone right down within a minute. They look like a completely natural flush. Glow is more everyday natural, and Hot Pink is more "I've been skiing" natural.
I also use Revlon Skinlights Instant Skin Brightener in Natural Light on the tops of my cheekbones for a bit of a glow. This combination makes my skin look polished and natural at the same time!
The NYX rouges stay on well, and they stay on even better if I brush a little powder blush on top, like Nars Orgasm.
These rouges are the same quality as the MAC pot rouges, but at a fraction of the price. I bought mine off ebay, but drugstore.com has them on clearance right now! I guess they are also available at Rite-Aid, but I don't have one in my city. |
