I use Laura Mercier primer if I want a creamy texture primer and Smashbox is great for a more silicone texture. HTH!

I am using the base of Giorgio Armani. The full name is modeling make up base. I am also using the silk foundation of Armani. Both of them are very good.

I have been on Prescriptive True Skin foundation for years and love it. Actually this one provides a lot of moisture for daily use.

ON some special occasions, I use LM primer, nice product but a little too thick for me. My skin type is normal to combi.

When you said base I automatically thought you meant primer, LOL!!
Foundations that I love that are very hydrating are BB Luminous Moisturizing, like Sissycat said very dewy looking.
I have also used LP Cavier for a few years but decided it really didn't do anything more for $150.00 than my Chanel Pro Lumiere did for $50.00.
Laura Mercier has great foundations I just can't tolerate the smell, my DH said my face smelled like paint remover!!

Caspers Mum I have never heard of this I must be living under a rock. LOL!!!
If I read their site correctly you can buy samples for $1.00 and you can adjust the color yourself, is that right?
Please share more info, coverage, texture etc I am really interested in trying this, TIA!!

ETA: Caspers Mum that site is incredible, thank you so much for posting it. I just ordered several samples not sure which shade I will need and the shipping to Toronto was very reasonable. Would love to still hear more about this foundation.

I think gwynethung wanted suggestions on a foundation primer that is hydrating/moisturizing, folks... Laughing

I've used Laura Mercier foundation primer before and find it pretty hydrating. Now i like Smashbox primer for the smoothness of my skin after applying it.

I use Avene tinted sunscreen as base. Maybe some ladies would think it's too simple or lazy, but it provides good moisturization and sun protection.
