Melaleuca bracteata is a tea tree...wonder if we should be paying attention then to what type of tea tree goes into tea tree oil? |

some essential oils should be used with care I know that and with the exception of lavender oil I don't think any can be applied neat/undiluted.
There are concerns about tea tree in the uk acting as a thing that helps produce estrogen in boys ...sorry can't remember tech term |

Quick question..
Is it possible to change the title thread to "the dangers of Essential Oils"?
That title even scared me.

In this thread, under General Info, you will find info on EO's
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=11902
as far as I know it won't be the actual mixture of "general" EO's that could/would cause burning or damage - it's rather the concentration that can be damaging. As Guapa says, Lavender can be applied neat - and I apply Tea-Tree neat to smaller infections (don't know about the new tests regarding cancerous properties of TT oil)
Mixing certain "general" EO's can take away the supposed effect of the oils.
There are a few books on the market, and loads of info on the net... and we do have a couple of resident aromatherapists on the forums... lets hope they'll come and enlighten us a bit more
