I find it almost impossible to get an oil plug out of the sides of my nose where the bone is. Do you guys use tools, or just hot towels?

That's such a good question. I'm afraid I use strips for blackhead removal but I have to say that I never manage to get all of them and I'm still looking for an effective method.
I'm looking forward to the suggestions from other members and I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Sad
Tina

Does it work? Does it damage the skin at all? How effective is it? Thanks!

I have a tendency to press down too hard so my skin gets a bit red.

I find it works best after I come out of the shower while my pores are still opened.

Does it work on stubborn small blackheads on the sides of the nose?

Yes, it does. I think it also depends on how embedded the blackhead is.

I guess I'll have to get one of these. I am assuming you can get this at the drug store?

I have the one from Earth Therapeutics (it's cheaper than the one being offered by Sephora). I got it cheap at a Winners (Canadian Subsidiary of TJ Maxx). I'm pretty sure you can buy it at a drugstore.

i have one of those tools too, you have to be careful and not push too hard as some have said. It's best to wash your nose afterwards and use an astringent or cold water to shrink the pores. I don't do it everyday because i'm afraid of damaging my nose.

I use a tool like this too, and also using biore nose strips really helps.
