From my screen name, you can probably tell that I am the sort of person whose feet get a lot of exposure and so..I like to keep them as pretty as I can.
Over the years, it was getting harder and harder to keep them smooth and free of cracked heels.
I kept trying different products...moving up in cost..until finding a 40% urea cream that I think I paid more than $30 for.
Recently, I stumbled on a tip - soaking them in a mix of 2:1 water to cider vinegar.
I tried it and it works great!!
I pour a warm foot bath of water/vinegar and soak my feet while watching a 30 minute TV show. After the show, I pat them dry and then scrub off all the loose skin (sorry if this is graphic) in the shower with my Diamencel foot scrubber - the skin comes right off and afterwards, I rub some moisturizer into my feet and they remain beautiful and soft...the best part is the price. Vinegar is way cheap.

yes, apple cider vinegar, but I imagine any plain vinegar might do - I'm guessing the action comes from all the acid.

| Fantastic tip. I work from home and so I'm barefoot most of the time. Don't you just love that hard horny heel skin that's so thick you could slice it off with a knife? |

| I would love to try this, but the smell of ACV makes me gag. I tried using it once as a hair rinse and just about had to run out of the shower. |
