Just a minor word of caution regarding asprin masks and toners. If you suffer from broken thread veins, easy bruising or rosacea, asprin used regularly on the face will make the problem worse. Asprin is absorbed through the skin and is a blood thinner so it can quickly make broken thread veins even thinner and more prone to leakage. At first it will make your skin look better, but after 3 or 4 goes you will notice that broken thread veins are becoming more prominent.
I don't want to worry people, because most people will do very well using asprin cosmetically, but if you do have a tendency towards broken thread veins or easy bruising, then stick to aha's instead. |
So for those that has rosacea or broken veins, it's best not to use aspirin at all? So that's basically BHA/ salicyclic acid? My nose has some broken caps so does that mean no product containing salicyclic acid in it? I heard that AHA doesn't work on clogged pores cuz it's water soluble so it only works on the surface of the skin instead of penetrating deep down the pores. Can someone pls clarify this for me? |

I don't know but I am glad that I have only used an aspirin mask a couple of times as I have broken caps and would hate to make them worse. They are already the bane of my life. I would rather not take the risk of creating more.
Thanks for sharing this info. |
