Hello Ladies,
I need your help. I have combination and lately acne prone skin and I am looking for a suncreen for the summer. I am currently using La Roche-Posay anthelios gel. First I am not really sure why it's called a gel while it is a cream. Second I think it is a little too greasy for me. It takes a liitle bit more time to absorb than I have in the morning, and in the beginning my face is all shiny and I hate it. So I am looking for a good alternative suncreen that's at least SPF 40 or above.
Thank you in advance |

There are LOADS of sunscreen threads on EDS with really good product recommendations and info, so you can quite easily do a search. |

The few that i actually like is Dermalogica's Oil Free Matt Block SPF 20, Dermalogica Super Sensitive SPF 30 and Heliocare SPF 50 gel. Nice finishing with not too much oiliness. |

Have you tried the LRP spf30 spray? It's a little less greasy than the gel - oh sorry, saw that you wanted spf 40 or higher. I never had any success with any of the higher spf's available in Canadian drugstores. I finally resorted to ordering my European sunscreens online and they work much better. Less greasy and the LRP Dermo-ped formula doesn't give me pimples or irritation bumps. |

Where are you living? In Asia, we have RoC Minesol SPF40 Velvet Lotion with high spectrum UVA coverage. It's not too shiny for combination skin. There are 3 different UVA blocking agents (Tinosorb M and S, stabilized avobenzone and Uvinul A). The one I got recently doesn't contain 4-MBC. |

It isn't over 40, but I really like the Obagi 32, physical sunblock. It does not make me oily and as I am prone to break-outs, it's been the best for me so far. |

I have used the Sofina Lucent and Sunkiller Clearwater sunscreens, during winter my skin turns into combo skintype, and it is very good for keeping the oilies at bay while moisturizing the dry patches.
There are also lots of good reviews on MUA |
