Hi - I suffer from red circles under my eyes, similar to the ususal dark eye circles I suppose. It's like they have a red/purple discolouration, almost like the skin itself is bloodshot. I've tried all sorts of eye cremes, gels and (as a last resort) Menjai concealer. Apart from covering up, nothing seems to make any great difference. I've seen that Vitamin K creme can help with thread veins etc - would you recomend trying this as an eye creme? Also, do you have any other suggestions or recomended products I could try? Thanks. |

What are thread veins? Are they like spider veins? |

So if I put vitamin K on the spider veins on my leg they will eventually go away? |

PTR Power K eye cream or Alpha Lipoic Acid Eye Area Therapy by Perricone. Haven't tried but have heard good things about them.
seeing a derm. for your red circles may help if nothing works

Pjay - I wouldn't put normal vitamin K lotions on the skin under the eyes but there are special eye creams with vitamin K (and other ingredients that might help) on the market. Peter Thomas Roth has worked well for me personally.
PickadillyDo, IndianT - I have actually heard that you can get good results with vit K lotions/creams on spider veins. I did use one before but didn't use it all up and also didn't use it religiously enough to be able to dismiss it's effectiveness. I think it was a SkinDoctors one that I had and it said use twice a day after a warm compress on the area (or a long warm shower). It became a bit tedious to use so I stopped. I'm thinking of giving it another go. Btw, you can get your spiderveins lasered off and you can get any bigger ones injected (sclerotherapy). I've had sclerotherapy done before and it worked well. Problem is that if you are susceptible to getting them then they'll just keep popping up in different places |
