I think it might be it. My skin is pale anyway but I did notice a lightening in my skin which I actually like but I do 20% SA peels.

You also seem to do a lot of exfoliating.

It may not be the 2% BHA on its own. The Juice Apple peel and aspirin mask are strong exfoliators too and it's probably the combination of everything together. Why don't you stop the peel and mask for a while and see if it helps? The BHA will help with the blackheads and breakouts.

I am using Paula's 2% BHA at the moment and I don't think I see any lightening. I think you may not want to over-exfoliate your face it would increase your skin sensitivity.

I use retin a and it makes my face a lot whiter especially the cheek area. My face is significantly lighter than my neck.

If I were you, I wouldn't stop the JB peel and the 2% BHA, just drop the aspirin mask. Would you rather have zits and scars? Also, I can't believe the BHA and the JB peel can cause such great "whitening", they don't seem strong enough to do that Very Happy

Yeahyeah - Maybe you are just removing the dead skin cell layer using all of those things and it just seems like you are "whiter" - do you know what I mean? None of them are very strong products to be causing such major lightening.

It's because of all the chemical exfoliation from all your products which removes the top layer of dead skin cells and reveal the fresher one below. I guess you must be very fair to begin with.
