Help! I am on travel and my skin is NOT liking it! I look like crap and need some emergency help that will calm down my skin.
I think my skin is reacting to everything now, food, water and climate? I went from Switzerland to US this weekend. The long flight was really drying, but I think food and water is a bigger problem now.
Oh, I don't even want to go shopping looking like this... |

Thanks. I have to say Dr. Hauschka is too exxpencive in the US! Besides, I don't tolerate all the alcohol in the products too well. I brought some Weleda products, but need emergency TLC.
Maybe I need to use bottle water for washing my face. But diet control is difficult when eating out alle the time. Too much salt, fat and sugar for my skin it seems. |

I found water in some areas to have high chlorine. This disagrees with my skin. I would try the bottled water. Who knows what else is in the water and you are not used to it plus travel stress etc.! Also could you be allergic to different foods? Sometimes I get allergic reaction from detergents used in sheets and towels. Hope this helps. |

The most simple solution is to drink LOTS of water and make sure that you are pooping regularely. It sounds like your system is backed up and confused and the first place you see thsi is the skin.
If you can get your hands on some psyllium husk powder, mix a teaspoon with water or juice and have before bedtime. This should help get toxins out of your system. Don't overdo it on coffee. 10 glasses of pure water a day.
hope this helps! |

I always wash my face with bottled water whenever I travel. My skin doesn't react well changes in climate, food, dust, etc. I didn't realize what a big difference it could make to my skin until I had to wash my face with normal tap water that my skin wasn't used to. Also, try drinking more water and keeping your routine simple. Overdoing it can be very harmful to your skin. Hope your skin gets better soon. |

I second the bottled water suggestion...I usually drink it when I travel. But also love the idea of washing with it! And...make sure you get plenty of rest...because jet lag seems to wreak havoc on my complexion as well. And...I use lots of moisturizer to help w/rehydration. |

Just a quick update. My skin calmed down when I used bottle water to wash my face. Apparently Evian can be used for everything except drinking.... will keep an eye on water intake and what I eat. I am surprised how much diet effect my skin. |
