I have a problem with my scalp. The only shampoo/conditioner that doesn't make my scalp break out is Aveda, I'm guessing because the Aveda is very drying, and probably my scalp is oily.
I just spent $30+ trying Kinerase DermaCalm. Waste of time. I love Aveda, but don't want to continue using it as it is really drying to my hair, and my hair is already damaged from last year's horrible hairdresser bleach job that made 1/4 of my hair break off and fall out.
I'm not sure what to try now. It seems every shampoo/conditioner I try does this except Aveda, and I want to get away from Aveda b/c of the drying effect it has on my damaged hair.
Any suggestions? |

You don't say how long your hair is; but my first suggestion is to not use the shampoo on the length (from the ears down), just use it for scalp cleaning. The suds the runs down will be enough on your ends. Then condition, condition, condition the ends. Apply condition (mixed with honey) to the ends before washing will help also.
This may not answer your problem, but if your shampoo works on the scalp, I wouldn't try to change it, I just do something different for the length where you are dry. Also, how often do you shampoo, try to cut back to 2x per week at most.

I like Sahara Single Bible and I think it would be quite soothing as it contains lots of aloe vera, in fact, the shampoo looks almost just like pure aloe vera. This product is very moisturizing and leave my hair and scalp feeling great. |

it seems so simple, but its actually a great shampoo for scalp problems and it doesn't dry out the hair. try a protein treatment once a month like aphogee from sallys beauty supply to really get that bleached hair back in shape. |
