i want to try out a hair growth recipe that i found on the long hair community forums. it's based on this one, but with a bunch more e.o.s:

4 oz. jojoba
4 drops each of:
Clary Sage
Cypress
Lemon
Basil, Sweet
Bay
Geranium
Rosemary - Cineole
Cedarwood: Himalayan, texas or atlas
Patchouli
Thyme
Sage, Dalmation type
Grapefruit
and 8 drops of Lavender

my question is, what's the best way to mix these all together so that you know everything is dispersed evenly?

As those are all oils they will mix readily. When I mix eo or absolues with carrier oils, I warm the bottle in my hands, shake and rotate it for a while and let it rest for few days. (I place them in cool and dark place for 2-4 weeks, but I mix them for fragrance and they need to "mature" a bit - but that's a different issue).

Just add the e.o.s and shake the solution up. I agree that it's best to let give the final solution a few days before using it. And, it's always best to use an amber or cobalt (as opposed to clear ) container.

as far as I know, after you mix them, the expiration date is very short and you'd better keep them in refrigerator.

To help keep your oils from going rancid you can mix with vit E 0.5% or Rosemary Oleoresin .02%
