I always find myself typing on my laptop while i'm sitting in my bed, i want to know where i can find a store where they carry trays for your laptop.. that way i don't have to put the computer on top of a bunch of pillows while i'm on my bed.

I bought one last year to combat my sometimes very hot Macbook Pro! It's the ilap and it works great! It's a desk stand as well, so it keeps it in a nice slanted position and you can also use it as a lap tray (it has foam roller thingys on the bottom for comfort). I've been very happy with it.

Here's a link.

I bought mine online from an etailer in Canada. If you're interested, I'll ask my SO for the website since I can't remember them. They were based in Vancouver though I think.

Huh. I didn't think there was such a thing! I'll have to check it out, since my laptop heats up pretty quick when I use it in bed.

I have a laptop "stand" that is set on an incline, but that can only be used on a table. I'll have to check out the site.

I have a 'chill pad' for my laptop also. My laptop gets soooo hot, especially after I put in more memory. I keep it on the chillpad all the time now.

I'm not abejita, but I also had bought one of those before my ilap. It did help cool the PC down a bit, but I found it more useful as a desktop pad, than a lap pad. There are different models though ... the one we got had extra USB ports and stuff with it. The ilap works better for me because it helps cool the PC and is more comfortable when using on the sofa and stuff (the cooling pad wasn't as comfortable when using it off the desk).

Here's a link to the cooling pad we'd bought to give you an idea of what they are all about. It's $65, but without the USB ports and stuff you can get them much cheaper.

Thanks Moonstar!! I don't think I need something that actually helps "cool" my laptop (I generally use it on my coffee table which is marble, very cooling). But, I do need something to use when I am on the couch. Is the Ilap only designed to be used for Mac Notebooks?? Thanks!!
