Hi all,

I have a BIG question here... I've been finding a nice knee high suede boots... and manage to find one finally which fits me perfectly with a pointy toe and low heel.. but it's so expensive..760AUD (which will be RM2000+).. it's by stuart weitzman.. Should i buy or should i not??? My friends are saying that since i'll be heading to sydney for a trip next month, mayube i should wait.. but i'm not sure if i'm going to find another one.. SO.. i'm so depressed from thinking about it.. -.-

If you would wear them on a regular basis then it's money well spent. I always work out a 'cost per wear' thing. So my Farhi shearling coat is now only costing me about £1 to wear because although I paid about £400 for it three years ago, I have easily worn it more than 400 times. My Rick owens wrap jacket is however still costing me about £200 a wear because I have only worn it about three times (one for ebay I think!).

I'm probably not the best person to give advice because I am VERY impulsive about buying things. BUT ... I'm with guapagirl ... if it's something you know you will make tons of use of and the quality is there and they will last ... I think it's worth it! Especially if they aren't a "trendy" item ... then you know you'll get years and years use out of them.

My vice is buying designer purses, but I figure if the quality is there and if I stay away from really trendy pieces, then they will last a long, long time. And I am the same way ... if I DON'T get what I really want ... then I can't stop thinking about it and am disappointed too if I don't get it.

Let us know if you get them! Smile

Laughing I had the same struggle last fall when I was trying to choose between a pair of gorgeous, expensive boots and a more practical, less expensive pair.

The two contestants: Killer boots by Manas [Lea Foscati]. They were $250.00 USD on SALE and they have 3 inch heels. I don't really LIKE heels that high. The more practical pair had lower heels and a lower price but they were no NEAR as cool as the Manas.

I knew that if I didn't get the pair I fell in love with I'd drive away from the store with regrets, so I bought the gorgeous pair. I've only worn them 5 times, but everytime I do I feel invincible. Spend more $$ on the magic pair of shoes/boots and it's $$ well spent, I say! Laughing
