My main skin concerns are fine lines in two spots - crow's feet and forehead ll and horizontal across. And I also have large pores and peeling on my nose.
I had my *first* professional facial ever in December! And I had professional microdermabrasion as the athestician (sp?) recommended it to me. I'm really glad I went because I found out I was being too rough on my skin and that I was further dehydrating my skin with almost everything I was doing (e.g., glycolics, etc.).
The athestician said my focus should be on moisturizing. That I probably shouldn't use glycolics and that any mask I use shouldn't dry hard - just moisturizing masks for me. Some people had told me I have combination skin because of my nose meethinks (large pores, etc.) but she confirmed my suspicion - DRY, DRY, DRY.
So in addition to the facial cream from her (Institut Esthederm Moisturizing Bio-Activ), I've started using Laid in Montana's Sensitive Skin Cream that I already had but wasn't using [I bought it in MT when I was there]. When I bought it, I thought it was "too much" moisturization (thus, not using it) but am finding it a miracle!!! It is 19% emu oil and also has olive oil, shea butter, aloe, vitamin E, evening primrose oil; extracts of chamomile, calendula, comfrey, and grapefruit seed; and pure essential oils of carrot seed (for Vitamin A), rose, lavender, and lemon.
Since this discovery, I've been reading about emu oil on the boards and plan on continuing on this route.
Any other recommendations for my fine line concerns? I just got the Nuface and hope this will help with toning and possibly with fine lines as well. I will post on the Nuface thread when I have used it a bit. |

That Laid in Montana's Sensitive Skin Cream looks really good! Can you tell me how quickly it's absorbed into your skin? Do you use is as a day or night cream or both?

I started using the Laid in MT cream because my skin was quickly absorbing the Institut Esthederm cream and my skin still felt like it needed moisturing. I was regreting not buying Esthederm's intensive 6 day serum as well when I was at the facialist as I had it done in NJ over the holidays while visiting friends and I live in Philly.
The Laid in MT cream I use at all times of the day when at home and I feel I need more moisturizing. I'm thinking of putting a bit into a mini-container and taking it along with me. Right now, I have also been using Wyndmere chamomile essential oil in jojoba "on the run" (they put some of their essential oils in jojoba so you can put them directly on your skin without diluting - e.g., jasmine, sandalwood, neroli, rose). Oh, BTW, I used the chamomile/jojoba last night on my nails and wow!, they sucked it up and felt much stronger after using -- gotta buy some more!
I haven't worn the Laid in MT as a night cream cause it does take some time to absorb. But after a short while I don't find it "greasy" but that it keeps my skin feeling moist for much longer than any other product I've ever used! And I've already started getting compliments on my skin looking good. I can see an improvement immediately upon using it - the moisturization plumps up the lines and makes them look much less noticeable.
So, the main recommendations that the aesthetician made to me for my dry skin are moisturization and microdermabrasion for exfoliation. She said if I wanted to continue professional microderm, I wouldn't need to do it monthly... Her prices turn out to be much better what I've found in Philly, so I may go back to her the next time I'm near her. I have Epidermx cream for at home. |

Forgot to mention, so far no breakouts with the emu oil! That's what I was afraid of. I think that's why I had been cautious about using it in the past. |

Yep, I do like it and the combo smells much better to me than the pure emu oil from them! Oh, I did want to mention that there is beeswax in the product in case that is a problem for you. I know that some people don't want anything like that in products. I assume they use it as a moisture barrier (to keep the moisture in).
I'm relatively new to posting, so the EDS site won't let me post the Laid in MT website. I got the Sensitive Cream because the store was out of the Mature Skin cream. |

Oh, I see Laid in MT has a Nourishing Eye Cream that is 50% emu oil. Ingredients: Emu and Sweet Almond Oils, Purified Water, Avocado Oil, Beeswax, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Jojoba Oil, Cocoa Butter. Extracts of Aloe Vera, Benzoin Gum, Comfrey Root, Chamomile and Grapefruit Seed. Essential Oils of Peru Balsam, Lavender and Lemon. I'm definitely getting this!!!
There were also 3 testimonials posted on the eye cream:
From Dana S.: I purchased your Nourishing Eye Cream and Sensitive Skin Cream at a show I was at. It has only been 10 days and I have already experienced the benefits of using your amazing products! THANK YOU!
-------------------------------------
Mrs. Kauffman: Just wanted to let you know how much your Nourishing Eye Cream helped my sunburn. I went to Florida for two weeks and got a real bad sunburn on my chest and shoulders. After I took my bath that night I was putting Aloe on my chest but it just didn't seem to help. So I got my Nourishing Eye Cream out and put a little on, it was like a MIRACLE! In a couple minutes the burning stopped altogether. I could not beleive how fast it worked!
--------------------------------------
Laurie W., Kalispell, MT: For all you people who don't believe in the miracle of Emu Oil products I am here to tell you! I have used the Nourishing Eye Cream along with the Rejuvenation and within a few times of using them I could see a dramatic difference in fine lines disappearing. My skin is soft and silky and feels resilient and revitalized! |

always wear sunglasses in the sun and in the car to prevent more squinting which would cause more or deepen any current wrinkles.

try to add SPF for your eye so you won't get more lines. |
