i'd like to know whether any of you use special utensils designed(if any) to stir your homemade serums, just as there are amber bottles specially for serums. I'm concerned about the degradation as the result of using any metal or anything bad(steel spoons, plastic etc).
I was thinking that perhaps some commercial skincare or DIY sites gives little sticks(to mix the contents) along with the purchase of ingredients. any ideas?
thanks |

Some places send small stirrers or spatulas. Your best bet & most reliable way of mixing small batches would be a handheld drink mixer. |

Garden of Wisdom sells little spatulas, 25 for $1.70.
I like ordering from GoW because you can get first class shipping and not pay an arm and a leg for shipping when you need only one small ingredient.

Why don't you just look?????? It shouldn't be too hard to figure out. That way you could choose what it is you prefer instead of going back and forth here. |

Leana, why so impatient sounding? it's fine to ask for advice and come back here. |

Didn't mean to sound impatient, but the two suggestions were so very different. It just seemed to me that it would be easier for her to select if she could actually look at the items herself.
You know, I lurked here for a very long time before I decided to start participating. Why is everyone so darn touchy about everything here? I do not get it. Perhaps I am missing something??? |

actually, i was meaning to ask whether tpf does gives these for free with purchase of ingredients. as well as which sites sends these. of course, i know, I can save the small container of the serum itselt for my homemade formulas but.. other than that? please share your ideas on how you get mini-utensils or do u just use the big ones in your kitchen? isn't that awkward just to make small batches? thanks. |

OK, i get that virtually every diy supplier out there sells them or it's free with purchase(not sure about this). I just wanted feedback so i can decide based on that. sorry if i sound redundant, I guess my english is some levels below you.hope you can understand. |

bciw--i do recall TPF including free mixing supplies with my order. I placed a rather large order though and have only ordered from them once, so i am not sure if it's their standard practice. i am sure if you call/email them and ask them to include some mixing supplies, they will.
i think your question is legitimate and never apologize for your english, i think it's great. even those of us who first language is english, don't always make our point come across clearly on the board.

Yes, Kristen.. it is standard practice for them to ship samples of plastic droppers/stir sticks, etc.
