Some months back, I took to doing pedicures and fell in love with how pretty my toes look in those strappy sandals
I have had polish on my toe nails since then. Recently, when I took a good look at them when I removed the polish, I was "yick" by the yellow nails - they look sick
Now, I am stuck - I know I need to let the nails breathe and yet can't go around with those Sasquatch-looking toes - so I continue to paint my toe nails...you know...I can go on and on and on
But, to cut to it - does anybody have a solution (aside from asking me to pull them all out and use smeg )????
Cheers

Yes, been there done that (no NOT the smeg, the discolored nails). Two things that might work (but will also dry out your nails) are lemon juice, and also hydrogen peroxide/baking soda mix. However, recently when doing some online window shopping I came across this: http://www.asos.com/product.asp?sku=6TLFE0014 I haven't tried it though.

I really recommend OPI
http://www.opi.com/nail_treatments.htm
perhaps use one of the base coat / fillers to whiten the nail or even something in a pale clear pink until the yellowing grows out. |

You should always use a base coat, especially if you are using deep colours. However, get yerself down to your local chemist and buy a tube of sterident, or anyother denture (yes, as in false teeth!) cleaning tabs, dissolve in water and soak nails. Lady at the local beuty salon passed on this gem and it really works, but you won't need to do it too often if you use a good base coat |

I think I am trying to do too many things here at one time - I am at my office now, talking over the phone, readking at a report and replying EDS, while trying to look like I am working really hard - what am I talking about - baking soda??!! - I mean strident (the denture thing). Hey, maybe baking soda works too????
