Hi, I bought a sample of 40% Lactid Acid from dianneyvonee.com. I've been using it on my hands once a week for the past 2 weeks.

I apply and leave on for about 10-15 minutes before I neutralize the acid (i don't leave it on permanently).

The texture on my hands has improved tremendously and looks much much better!!

Again, I've used it twice with one week intervals.

Is it OK to use once a week, or is once a week too much???

People use it once a week on their faces so I don't see why once a week on hands would be a problem. You can also take a break every 6 weeks or so for a few weeks.

I can easily use 55% lactic acid peel on my face, weekly. I think hands, with 40%, at least weekly would be fine. Try and see how it works best for you. It's quite gentle.

i use 50% glycolic peel once a week. Lactic peels are gentler than glycolic so 40% lactic once a week should not be a problem.

Ok, so now I know my hands can take it.

How about my chest area (which happens to be quite fair and sensitive)?

Are there any important steps to take before the peel to prepare the skin AND after the peel to enhance it's effect?

(i usually leave on for 15 minutes then neutralize with baking soda and water)
Is 15 minutes too much...too little???
