Has anyone ever heard of using this combination as a scrub? Someone recommended this combo and plan to try it and thought I'd present it to the forum. |

Haven't heard of that combination before; but it sounds like a good idea if you can get enough castor oil for an affordable price. I like castor oil around my eyes.
I use brown sugar and olive oil and love it. I use it with a heavy hand, so it takes a half-cup of the mix each time I do the scrub. Downside is that olive oil has the strong odor. |

Hi DySign, welcome to EDS forum! Is this a scrub you plan to use on your face? I wouldn't recommend using either sugar or salt in a facial scrub but would reserve that for the body. Sugar and salt crystals are irregularly shaped and could tear more delicate facial skin.
Check out this link for more details.

It's possible that brown sugar may be substituted since it's a much softer texture, but others who chime in may have more input than I. |

i have used something similar but with lime juice. The sugar dissolves in the lime juice so it isn't really chunky or gritty like a body sugar scrub. its more like a mild glycolic peel. |

I use the sugar scrub on my body but not on my face though.
But I'm using CareKate's Super sonic brightening mask which has sugar in it
BTW- Welcome to the forum! |

I've used castor oil with baking soda and liked it. Don't know about sugar though. |
