Sorry, but I haven't heard of this before. It sounds interesting because you can use it safely during the summer and not have to deal with photo-sensitivity issues.

I haven't ever seen that, but there is a drugstore brand available here in Seattle that uses niacinamide as its main ingredient. I tried using their scrub for a while, but it smelled exactly the way gross multivitamins taste, and I never really noticed a significant improvement. But I didn't use their spot-treatment (didn't like the unsanitary applicator). I can try to keep an eye out for the brand and mention it if you want.

Hi ginnielizz

Thanks for your reply...if you can keep me updated on products containing niacinamide, that would be great!

I'll do what I can! I only ever saw them at a certain location of a certain drugstore franchise that's nowhere near my new workplace, haha, but I will keep my eyes peeled. I'm always curious about new acne-fighting ingredients!

Okay, so it took me my sweet time to find my old product from the line I was talking about that uses niacinamide as the active ingredient, but I finally found it! It's called "Naturally Clear", and they're based out of Sisters, OR (USA) so that might be why only I've ever heard of them. Laughing The only products I had tried were the scrub and the acne blemish stick. The stick I found to be unhygienic since I don't like applicators that you have to rub directly onto your acne-ridden skin. The scrub was nice and felt fairly effective, but I couldn't handle the smell - smelled like the way a multi-vitamin tastes, yech! Anyway, if people are desperate to try this line I wouldn't mind doing a CP, but I don't know what their line is like - try Googling it and let me know if there's something in particular you want. I'd do it myself but I'm on a friend's computer getting ready (before a full weekend of shopping in adorable Portland, yay!) so I'm pressed for time and I can't stand this keyboard. Smile HTH! --ginnielizz

Thanks for going through all the trouble in searching for that skincare line.

The website is --- http://www.naturallyclear.com

They dont list the ingredients on their website and its not a mainstream brand such as Proactiv. They say on their website that to be fully effective, you have to take the multi-vitamins...and that kinda makes me not want to go on their regime, as I hate taking pills Mad

Hi, I make my own niacinamide gel using aloe vera gel and niacinamide - thats all. I make it 4% niacinamide - purchased from lotioncrafter.com. It seems to help quite a bit with the acne but what I'm really impressed with is the oil control. I can now go for a few hours between blotting where as before it was every half hour or so. HTH. yeah yeah, If you're looking for product where niaciamide is the active ingredient, take a look at NIA24. There are a few reviews of that line here on EDS; and it sounds vera, vera interesting. The only thing that stops me from trying it out is that I'm pretty content with my current products and don't want to ruin a good thing. I may give NIA24 sunblock a try once I run out of my current supply, however.
