Hello! I was looking for a Vitamin C recipe and stumbled on EDS -- what a great resource! Unfortunately, it looks like there is no longer a link to Carekate's famous Vitamin C serum recipe, and I can't seem to find it anywhere. Would anyone care to point me in the right direction? I'm new to DIY and eager to get started! Thanks! |

Welcome, b! The recipe thread has been temporarily removed, not sure when it'll be restored but have been assured by the mods that it will be.
All these DIY recipes are truly a great resource.
Until it's restore, you may want to check out http://www.makeupalley.com, a lot of her recipes have been published there. |

I have the recipe written down as
1/4 teaspoon Lysorbic Acid
5 ml Filtered water
5ml Propylene Glycol (or glycerin instead if you have dry skin)
Put all ingredients in dark glass bottle, shake vigorously, let sit for a couple of hours (lid on) and shake bottle every hour for 2 hours.
I have made this many a time but now days am putting tamarind extract with it.
Hope this helps and if I am missing something out I am sure someone else will post. |

I think if you go by the proportions of this formula, it will give a 10% serum. |
