My favorite hair styling product for several months now has been the PP liquid mousse. Since I like it so much I would like to try something else, but it would be nice to have reviews of other products. Please post your thoughts on any PP products if you have tried them. Thanks! |

Thirtyish, I've been wondering the same thing. Both of the PP products I've used (Mousse and HaiRx Exfoliating treatment) have been 100% can't-live-without-em holy grails for me, so that has me very curious to try some of their other products.
If anyone missed my original review of the mousse, here it is with pictures. This stuff is SO fabulous:

What does the exfoliating treatment do for your hair? I am planning on getting Repair H Air Smart Styling Treatment. It's not cheap, so I sure hope it works! |

Thirtyish, I mostly use it for my scalp--- it tends to get really itchy and flaky, and the HaiRx treatment clears it right up. It also works as a great clarifying treatment without stripping my hair ir drying it out. HTH! |

I got my hair cut at one of their salons, and I purchased Mod-ified Honey. A styling product that supposed to add body to your hair. It weighed my hair down. I also purchased HaiRx x-treme daily treatment. It's a spray on protein treatment. I really like this product. I have very fine thin hair and it add a lot of body to my hair. (I use it two to three times a week). |

Annie313, thanks for your review! It's nice to know what others think of this since it's not a very well known brand. I usually only buy products I know a lot about. If the Mod-ified Honey is the wax product, I'm not surprised it would weigh your hair down. I placed my order this morning, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I like the new product as much as the mousse. The next one I have my eye on is P2 Longevity Conditioner Strengthens & Lengthens. |

My favorite, the liquid mousse, called Modiphy, I think, is slowly but surely getting used up and I will be reordering. I do want to try some of their other products. Can anybody update or review some of the others they have tried? I am interested in the shampoo and almost anything else, as the Philip Pelusi mousse has done absolute wonders for my thin, fine hair. In fact, for the first time since I was about 6 I am growing it longer (not long, just longer), as I never was able to get my hair to do what I want so well before this mousse! |

Oooh, liz, this sounds like it might be great for me! Any chance you could post the ingredients? I can't seem to find them on the good ole Internet. Thanks! |

and I have to say I LOVE the exfoliating shampoo. Here is why, my hair is so oily I have to shampoo every day.
I have tried several drugstore brands with no improvement.
The exfoliating shampoo makes my hair clean, clean clean, even the next day. Not drying either (but again I have oily scalp). I like the liquid mousse a lot, as I think it is adding body without weighing my fine thin hair down, but the exfoliating shampoo seems to be the key for me.
I would like to try Increase Volume shampoo to see if that helps, has anyone tried that?
The problem is these shampoos are very pricey. |

I've been contemplating ordering the liquid mousse but wonder how it feel on the hair when styling. I have baby fine, delicate hair and cannot use products that make the hair sticky when styling. My hair is very tangle prone so I have to be careful with the texture of the products I use. |

Cuties, I have hair similar to yours and am curious what your favorite product is currently that gives volume but isn't sticky. I have used the liquid mousse and liked it but didn't love it. I am still searching for the HG product! Also, do you have a favorite shampoo and conditioner? Lately, I feel like my hair doesn't like anything! |

Hi thirtyish, I haven't found any HG products yet. I've been using Wella Color Preserve Strengthening Foam. It's a mousse for volume and shine, it's ok - won't repurcahse. I've also tried a variety of root lifters and have found nothing awesome to write about. I just started using Bumble & Bumble Thickening shampoo. It's nice for a thickening shampoo because it doesn't make the hair stiff like some others but if you don't pair it with the right styling products, how can you really see the effects - you know what I mean? Plus I need a moisturizing conditioner for my color-treated hair so I'm sure I'm weighing it down (my hair is shoulder length). I was contemplating a perm but have decided against it for now. I just got my hair back in good condition after cutting off a lot to get rid of bleached highlights that was a big mistake. |

I just started using the Liquid Mousse and it definitely makes my fine, thin hair look and feel a little thicker! So far, so good! |

Can I chime in? I have baby-fine straight hair that turns into a stringy mess with the wrong products. What works for me for tons of silky, shiny, soft but bouncy hair is: JF Lazartigue Rebalancing Shampoo, Bumble+bumble Alojoba conditioner, Bumble+bumble Prep spray. Then blow-dry with a vent brush. The fewer products I use the better. |
