Has anybody tried Flora Hautex Cleansing Tea? It is supposed to aid the cleansing process of the skin. I have been drinking it for the last 4 days and my skin seems bumpy and having some white head acnes. Is it part of the cleansing process reaction? Please share your experience if you tried them before. Many thanks. |

i haven't tried the tea you're referring to, but i've been drinking an herbal tea by pukka called cleanse.
i've had no problems drinking it thus far, in terms of suddenly over-active skin or purging. the taste is nice both hot & cold, and is not sweet.
the ingredients are: nettle leaf, peppermint leaf, fennel sead, dandelion root, licorice root, aloe vera leaf (all organic). |

The ingredients in the tea are:
Dandelion Leaf, Juniper leaf,Raspberry leaf, rosehip husk, speedwell herb, yarrow herb, birch leaf, buckbean herb, calendula flowers, echinacea root, nettle leaf, rosemary herb.
It is for skin cleansing specifically. |

I did a quick google and found the tea on this page:
http://www.florahealth.com/flora/home/international/products/tg3.asp
Hautex (Skin Cleansing) Tea
by Flora Manufacturing & Distributing Ltd. (headquartered in Canada)
Works from within to encourage skin secretion. Very effective against acne, blackheads, pimples, itch and rash.
Ingredients: dandelion leaves, juniper berries, raspberry leaves, rosehips, speedwell, yarrow, birch leaves, buckbean leaves, calendula flowers, echinacea root, nettle leaves, rosemary leaves.
Availability: 20 Bags/Box or Loose Leaf: 85g
After reading the info, you are probably having a purge reaction that should clear up over time. Toxins are purging thru your skin (the largest organ of elimination that we have). I would just recommend drinking a lot of water and exfoliating the skin to help speed the cleansing process.
Let us know how it goes. |

I thought I had added this to my post, but I guess not.
I haven't tried the tea but I thought those of you who are interested in this particular one, Flora does distribute internationally and you can find out if it's available to you at: www.florahealth.com/flora/home/ChooseCountry.htm?vCountryName= |

lunarmm, Thank you for spending time digging in. I am also hoping my reactions are just part of purging process.
Although it is a little disappointing that no one has tried this before but I appreciate everybody who has spent time reading my post and replying to it. I will continue drinking it and let you know how it goes after I finish 20 bags. |

Hi htian21, I agree that you're probably just going through the purging part of the detox process.
I wanted to make sure that you aren't pregnant or diabetic though. Sorry to ask personal questions, but I'm reading a detox book right now and it warns that those who fall in either of those categories should talk to a doctor before starting a detox program. |

Schang,
I am not in either of the conditions. But thank you for your concerns and reminders. I am wondering maybe this purge also has something to do with the fact that I have been practicing oil pulling for the past two weeks. I read from the Curezone forum that some people also had the similar reactions when they doing the oil pulling. Their acnes will become much worse before it gets better. I am going to stick to both the tea and oil pulling for another two weeks and see how it goes.
Thank you all for your valuable input. |

Whenever I talk to my doctor about anything like this that is a little on the cutting edge or not 'drug' related I get a shrug and a smirk... |

htian21, which part of Canada u live in? Also, wat's the name of the store u got the tea in? I live in Vancouver and I've been to a few of those health stores without any success of finding the product. They carry that line but they just don't have the skin cleansing tea. Thanks! |

schange,
Oilpulling is a method that you use sesame or other oil to rinse your mouth for 20 mins. in the morning before brushing teeth. It is supposed to draw all of the toxins from your body. By the end of rinsing, the oil will beome white fume. I am sure you can find lots of information if you google on line. |

Keep a watchful on things to make sure that you aren't having a mild allergic reaction to an ingredient in the tea. |

Thanks htian21! There's a thread on EDS about it too, I just found it. It sounds strange, but interesting. |
