Has anyone had problems with hyperpigmentation following cryotherapy? A month ago I had a crop of sebaceous glands "zapped" with liquid nitrogen. I now have even larger unsightly areas on my face. I followed the dermo's post treatment instructions and have had the same procedure done 3 times before with elecrocautery (electric needle burns them off)for the sebaceous hyperplasia and never had a problem. (I saw my regular dr's partner and he offered the N instead.)
I have been using my normal regimen- AHA/BHA, benzoyl peroxide, sunscreen. The only difference has been Vit C serum and copper that I use now and didn't during prior treatments.
I'm on my third 40% lactic acid peel and I've seen no positive changes on the pigment problem (or tone or pores for that matter).
I'm 47 with pale, olive skin, still oily/mild acne but now with brown blobs on my forehead and I'm a keloid/hypertrophic scar former, but never on my face.
Advice? Thoughts? |
