I LOVE this mascara.
Has a rubber brush which I think nearly every other mu brand has copied. I purchased the black and it is so black that even my SO asks if I am wearing Chanel when I have this on.
I like to wipe the access off the brush then apply, the mascara itself is quite thick and really does coat the lashes and causes them to curl upwards (even when I have already used my eyelash curlers). My lashes also double in length.
I have never had any need for a second coat and a tube lasts forever. This is my HG mascara.

Thanks for the review! I am on the hunt for a mascara I don't have to put 2-3 coats of on to get a nice look. I'll check it out.

Hi Rosebud, since you mentioned that the formula is quite thick, I wondered if it clumps at all? Does it do a good job of separating the lashes or do you need to use a lash comb afterwards?

Thank you so much for reviewing this rosebud! I'm putting this on my list to try! I've been using a Guerlain mascara, which I like, but I want to give this a go. I've been waiting for someone to say how they like it. I've tried other rubber brushes, mainly just in drugstore brands, but wasn't crazy about the formula. I've used Chanel in the past and already like the mascaras...excited to try the new brush!

I tend to save this mascara for nights out or if I am really making an effort to look my best, I do sometimes find it hard to work with but the results are well worth it.
The reason I find it hard to work with is because you have to use a lash seperater afterwards and keep on combing your lashes to seperate them, it is not a clumpy mascara just thick.

ParisTroika just wondering which other drugstore brands with the rubber brushes have you tried?

Thanks rosebud, that's just what I wanted to know. This sounds like it would be a great mascara to wear for special occasions, but I'm looking for more of an everyday one. Thanks again!

My sister has this mascara and it dried out within a couple weeks and we live in the humid south. She really liked it at first because she has some of the most unruly eyelashes (they grow in every direction) and the brush did a good at taming them. However, she won't be repurchasing since it was only good for a couple weeks.

Wow Sundew, that's a bummer about the short shelf life, but your review still made me want to try this! My lashes are crazy too, they go in all directions and most mascara formulas do nothing to tame them. I've tried using curlers, but generally speaking they just crimp my lashes in whatever weird direction they decided to go that day, so they aren't much help. This sounds like it might do the trick!

I had a couple of tubes of GWPs and I think the first tube lasted about 3 months, but yes it did dry out faster than other mascaras I have had.
schang I love Clinique High Impact mascara for everyday, it is so easy to work with and gives a nice, natural finnish. Also Boots No.7 Mascaras are very good.

Thanks Rosebud, I'll look into the Clinique mascara. Boots is a little hard to find where I am, but the Clinique should be easy enough. Thanks for the rec!

Cool, thanks ginnielizz! Unfortunately, I'm living in Beijing right now but will be back in the States in a few months.

Hmmm, I do have a friend visiting soon, I'm sure she wouldn't mind bringing over a teeny tiny tube of mascara for me!

OMG,that reminds me. A few months ago I was flying from Taiwan back to Beijing. I had purchased a salon size of Valmont Renewing Pack in Taiwan, which was a gamble since I had never used it before and it was $$$. Anyway, while I was packing, I kept telling myself that anything over 100ml had to be checked in. And then, I absentmindedly put the Renewing Pack in my carry-on! Well, of course the airport screeners saw it but when I took it out they noticed the price tag (along with my face which had totally drained of all color) and were nice enough to go let me talk to my airline. Well, luckily, the airline staff were kind enough to help me out and my carry-on bag was sturdy enough to be checked in!

I have also used this mascara and was quite pleased how well it glided on and did not clump. This is my favourite and also Dior Show.
