I am new to the forum. I was told how wonderful Obagi products are but I am confused as to what I need. I am 62 with a couple of dry spots on my face, one small age spot and the only wrinkles are around my mouth. What would be a good started product to use? Question

If you would like to start using Obagi my first recommendation is to get yourself to a dermatologist who knows what Obagi is.

Secondly, I would also recommend that you use all the products in the Nu-derm line for the best results. Prepare your mind for all the "badies" and what you might see in your first 6 weeks by doing a search on EDS and reading about all the complaints, rants, etc. of everyone who have used it.

When you do your search, don't forget to read about all the raves and reviews by TAMgirl who shows before and after pictures of her faded pigmentation, and more recently yaling who also has pictures and she's not done her full cycle yet.

Finally, consider the review of people who have tried it but didn't like it because if it's only one sun spot and a few wrinkles, there are loads of products out there that can probably take care of this in a less harsh/dramatic way.

Hope that helps!

I agree with Kareberry in that if you want to start Obagi, then use all the Nu Derm products. They all work together to help your skin. I tried using Obagi about 2 years ago and I had not too good results, that is because I was not using all the products, I just picked which ones I thought would help. It doesn't really work that way. This time (I am on week 9 now) I am using all of the products and I am seeing good results in freckles fading. Good luck, cowgirl with whatever you choose!

I am on Day 16 of the Obagi Nu Derm treatment and decided to use all the products recommended, down to the cleanser and toner. The old skin is flaking off, as it is supposed to at this stage. I tried my normal toner and although it is for sensitive skin, the stinging was more painful than when using the Obagi toner.
