Is there such a product? Most mattifying moisturizers seem to have cones? Oily girls, what is your fav mattifying day moisturizer?

Silicon is normally used to assist the product to spread smoothly over the skin. In most cases, the silicon content should dissipate after the product is applied if it is formulated correctly. In those products, the silicon is not harmful.

Thanks bushy Very Happy

FaithTruth, why would you prefer not to have silicon in moisturizer?

Seems like silicon is rather a good ingredient to me Rolling Eyes

I'm another one of those poor souls that can't get within 10 feet of products with silicones without breaking out or getting a face full of clogged pores. Faith truth, have you tried Chrysalyx by Naturderm? If you mist your face with water first and then apply a bead of Chrysalyx, it can tend to be a bit mattifying. Also, if you spritz Dr. Mist on your skin first and let it dry, it has awesome mattifying power. HTH!

I've just been using pearl powder products, and they've done alot to help with my super oily tendencies. I still get a bit shiny, but a normal glow, rather than an oil slick. Since I am oily, I find that I don't need an additional moisturizer, however some other ladies on the board have used jojoba overtop.

I don't use the product, but have thought about buying it-- DHC Matte Cream. I don't believe it's a moisturizer, just something you use to control shine throughout the day. As far as I can tell, it has no silicones:

water, stearic acid, pentylene glycol, glycerin, cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed extract, kaolin, chlorella vulgaris extract, behenyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate SE, potassium hydroxide, phenoxyethanol, allantoin, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, tricalcium phosphate, paeonia suffruticosa root extract, allium sativum (garlic) bulb extract, silica, zinc oxide, silver, disodium adenosine triphosphate

I know this isn't quite what you're after, but I find that ANY moisturizer becomes matte for me if I dust afterwards with Jurlique's Rose Silk Dust. Never have I seen a more mattifying effect in my life, and for me it lasts pretty much all day except if I get REALLY sweaty and sweat it all off. Quite magical stuff, in my opinion. And I too break out if I have any silicones in my moisturizer, so this is a nice non-comedogenic alternative.
